Battery Point – Foodie heaven!

If you are in Battery Point and you haven’t already realized it, you are in foodie heaven!

Fusilier Cottage is self-contained and surrounded by great restaurants. Start with a morning coffee and fresh baked bread from Jackman & McRoss bakery over the road or one of the nearby cafes. On weekdays, you can pick up the morning newspaper at the post office next to the bakery.

Guests at Fusilier Cottage have the option of cooking in the well-equipped kitchen. But why cook when you’re on holiday? You can indulge in up to ten eateries within a two-three-minute walk around Hampden Road – and there are many more great restaurants and bars in Salamanca Place, at the end of Kelly Street.

Stock up on Tassie’s freshest produce, wines, cheeses, meats and veggies: Salamanca Fresh and Wursthaus Kitchen (home delivery available) are both just a five-minute walk away in Salamanca Place. You can also visit or order online from Hill Street Grocer, Hobart’s speciality foodstore in Sandy Bay.

A 9/11 Bottle Shop is located at St Ives, on the corner of Sandy Bay Road and St George’s Terrace (five minutes’ walk).
