ACCOMMODATION

The cottage has four bedrooms.

On the ground floor, the Hampden and Waterloo rooms both have double beds – a king (160 cm wide) and queen (150 cm wide). Upstairs, two cosy dormer rooms are furnished with outsized single beds (120 cm wide).

Bed furnishings have been selected for comfort and style, a mix of French flax, vintage washed linen, and cotton. Down-filled comforters and luxury mattress toppers ensure comfort and warmth.

KITCHEN

A well-equipped kitchen features a heavy brass bench, ample storage, an intelligent oven, induction cooktop, dishwasher and microwave.

LIVING AREA

A spacious glass-walled living area opens directly onto the contemporary cottage garden, with views across Kelly Street to the distant hills of Gunners Quoin.

The space flows into a kitchen and dining area, with a table for six. An optional woodfire adds warmth and atmosphere on winter nights.

HEATING

The cottage is heated with a thermostat-controlled Siebel hydronic system. Floor heating keeps the cottage at a constant comfortable temperature.

This system is supplemented with a woodfire, for those cool winter nights when you want to curl up in front of the fire.

FUNCTIONS & EVENTS

Fusilier Cottage is available for small functions in the heart of the Battery Point village. The space is suitable for intimate receptions and bespoke events.

The living space opens directly onto the beautiful garden, where guests can mingle under the canopy of the big sycamore tree.

We welcome celebrations of joy and love, such as weddings, anniversaries, birthdays, family reunions and any occasion to be shared and enjoyed.

The iconic cottage and surrounds are also perfect for small corporate events such as tastings, creative and product launches; and, as the iconic cottage and garden feature in many tourist photos, it is a perfect back drop for photo shoots.
